Walking Around Washington Park Arboretum | Seattle, WA
This was mid summer, and the park has been bombarded by a lot of rain and wind, there’s a lot of down logs and branches, stretches of the trail and boardwalk were also under water. It makes the whole park look rugged, ruggedly charming.
It was cloudy and and rain just stop not too long ago, but hey, when did rain ever stop anybody in the Pacific Northwest from doing anything?
It may not look it from the photos, but trail is actually super wet~~
A small viewing area, you can see all the lake activities from this little platform.
Various parts of the boardwalk were underwater, some areas have no walk around, so I have to jump over them, with my super heavy camera, camera bags, and a freaking tripod …. I made it, I did not drop into the water~~
Lily pads here are of the smaller kind, very cute.
Always wonder if I walk really fast, can I just run on top the lily pads and cross it? Ok, I know, that’s just too much kung fu movies …
One of the popular things to do, with a kayak, you can access the whole water system, I find kayaking over lily pads is a thing of beauty and full of imagination.
